The City Boy Movement, a group working for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, held a strategic meeting in Yola. The meeting was meant to start strong grassroots mobilization across Adamawa State ahead of the 2027 presidential election. Rt Hon. Aliyu Wakili Boya, Esq., the State Director of the movement and member representing Fufore/Song Federal Constituency, hosted the meeting at his Yola residence. State and local government officials of the movement attended.
Boya said the group’s only goal is to deliver large votes for President Tinubu and the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Adamawa. He announced that mobilization activities will start soon and will reach every community, village, and polling unit in the state. The mandate is for everyone. We are moving to reach out to villages and communities in all parts of the state.
No stone will be left unturned, no unit of our dear state will we not touch, he said. Boya also reminded members that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is the Grand Patron of the movement, with Seyi Tinubu as Patron. At the state level, Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri is Grand Patron, Comrade Mustapha Salihu is Patron, and Senator Binta Masi Garba is State Matron.
Boya stressed that there is no time to waste. He said plans are already in place to inaugurate officials at state and local government levels, open offices in all 21 Local Government Areas, and provide logistics and vehicles for the campaign. He assured members of enough support and packages to help them spread the re-election message across the state.
At the meeting, Hon. Abdulmumuni Song, a former lawmaker and APC chieftain, was named coordinator for Song LGA. Youth Coordinating Director comr Ahmed Marafa praised Boya’s leadership and commitment. Marafa and other members described Boya as one of Nigeria’s outstanding federal lawmakers because of his work in infrastructure, education, youth empowerment, health, and bill sponsorship. The officials urged all members to stay focused and avoid distractions as preparations for 2027 begin.
