CONGRATULATORY MESSAGE ON THE OCCASION OF PASSING OUT PARADE OF POLICE RECRUIT BY HONOURABLE (BARRISTER) ALIYU WAKILI BOYA - MEMBER REPRESENTING FUFORE/SONG FEDERAL CONSTITUENCY & CHAIRMAN HOUSE COMMITTEE ON POLICE INSTITUTIONS. TODAY THURSDAY THE 23rd DAY OF JANUARY, 2025
With Joy And Happiness, Today Is a Special Day For Our New Police Recruits Who Went Through Rigorous Training To Arm Themselves With knowledge And Skills So As To Effectively And Efficiently Contribute Their Part In The Peace Project Of Our Dear Country – Nigeria.
This Day Opens a New Beginning Of Social Responsibilities On Them After The Passing-Out Parade.
Their success Attests To Their Grit, Determination, Sacrifice And Zeal To Serve Nigeria With Their Body And Soul.
Police Is a Job That Demands Commitment Beyond The Call Of Duty. It is a role that will test their resolve in fighting crime, upholding the law and making Nigeria a safe and peaceful country.
It Is Worthy Of Note, That safety and security are necessary for economic growth, social development, better education, health outcomes, and for social cohesion as well.
Crime Affects The Safety, Well-Being And Cohesion Of Our Communities. It affects the delivery of services and the functioning of public institutions. If we did not tackle it, we will not build the better society that we desire. It is for this reason that we made commitment to recruit and train new police personnel.
Today, Marks a Great Milestone In The Implementation Of That Commitment. We Applaud The Nigerian Police Force for its recruitment strategy, which saw qualified forensic scientists, criminologists and policing science experts joining the service.
A Segment Of Them Would Be Deployed To The Public Order Policing Unit, while Others To Other Specialized Units Probably To Include The Family Violence, Child Protection And Sexual Offences Units To Bolster Our Capacity To Fight The Scourge Of Gender-Based Violence And The Likes. Others Would Be Assigned Duties At Frontline Service Delivery Points Such As Police Stations.
These Operations Are Important In Combating Violence Against Women And Children And Aggravated Crime Like Terrorism, kidnapping, Car Snatching, Robbery, And Other Forms Of Crime.
It will also Include Enhanced Border Security, Enforcement Of Legislation And Municipal By-Laws And Road Safety Enforcement.
The Passing-Out Parade Affirms The Officers’ Readiness To Fully Work For The Nigeria Police Force So As To Help Eradicate crimes, To Serve And Protect Nigeria And Nigerians, As well As Make Them Safe And Secure. Wear The Nigeria Police Uniform With Pride And Dignity, Abiding By The Police Code of Conduct And Committed To The Service Of The General Nigerians.
As They Commence The Real policing Duties Any Time After Today, it is Important That They Remain Vigilant, Agile And Alert At All Times. They should Take Firm Stance Against Corruption OR Unethical Conduct, And Against Any Actions That Could Erode The Faith Of The Nation In The Police Service.
They Should Work With Communities To Address Their Problems Because They Are As Strong As The Communities They Are Deployed To Serve.
Finally, I Appreciates President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Speaker Tajudden Abbas, NSA Mallam Nuhu Ribadu, Police IG Kayode Egbetukun For Their Support And Corporation Towards The Enrollment, Training And Subsequently Culminating To The Passing-Out Parade Of The Officers.
I, Also Appreciate The Resource Persons who Took Their Time For The Time-Frame To Train The Recruits; And For The Trainees Who Have Been Recognizes By The Respective Academy Commanders As Having Performance Best in Various Sections, We Believe That They Will Continue To Distinguish Themselves In The Service As They Did In Their Training.
Aside Felicitating With The Passing-Out Officers, I Also Congratulate Their Parents And Guardians, Fufore/Song Constituency, And Adamawa State As a Whole; I Am Appealing To The parents And Guarding Of The Officers To Continue Praying And Support Their Children To Discharge Their Duties Diligently.
An Am Also Assuring You More Employment Opportunities Are Coming In Different Government Ministries, Departments, Agencies And Commissions, Urging You To Support The Present Government In All Sectors. I therefore Wish All The 176 Officers From My Constituency As Well As The Remaining Officers Well In Their Careers In The Police Service, Serve Your Country Nigeria With Pride And Commitment.
