The House Of Representatives Committee On Police Institutions Has Sought To Enhance The Powers Of The Police Service Commission (P S C ) To Properly Oversight The Nigeria Police Force.
The Hon Brr Aliyu Wakili Boya Stated This When He Led Committee Members To Visit The Commission's Headquarters In Abuja To Interact With The Management Of The Commission To Understand The Challenges And See How It Could Intervene To Put The Commission In Proper Shape To Render It's Oversight Responsibilities On The police.
They Also Stated That Civilian Oversight Of The  police Was An Indispensable Mechanism For Promoting Transparency, Accountability And publictrust In Law Enforcement.
In This Capacity As Chairman Of The House Committee On Police Institutions, Boya Has Been Instrumental In Advocating For Crucial Reforms Within The Police Force.
Speaking During The Visit, Chairman Of The House Committee On Police Institutions, Hon Brr Aliyu Wakili Boya, Said Civilian Oversight Of The Police “Is An Indispensable Mechanism For Promoting Transparency, Accountability And Public Trust In Law Enforcement Institutions.
He Averred That There Was Need To Strengthens Police Service Commission,
the Commission's ability And Authority, Adding That, To Function Effectively, There Was Need To Provide Adequate Budgetary Provisions, Legal Backing And Operational Independence For The 
Commission.
Hon Boya commended The Commission Chairman For The Innovative Program He Has Introduced Since His Assumption Of Duty, Stressing That The "Arena Of Knowledge" Lecture Series Was a demonstrations Of His Commitment To o Improved Staff knowledge, Productivity, And Efficiency Towards Service Delivery.

Boya Transformed Police Service Commission To International Standard And Boost Its Social Welfare.
