BOYA EDUCATIONAL DEVELOPMENT AND SUPPORTS PROGRAMS
Hon Barr Aliyu Wakili Boya has established a platform called "Educational Development and Supports Programs" aimed at developing the educational sector to national and international standards. This initiative has had a significant impact on the community, mobilizing hundreds of dropped-out students back to school and providing 100% scholarships to people with special needs, including those with disabilities.
Under Boya's initiative, the Educational Development Programs have led to the establishment of several institutions, including the Federal College of Health Technology Song, Federal College of Education Technical Fufore, and Police College Malabu. Additionally, Boya has constructed and furnished several classrooms, offices, and stores at various schools, including Dabala Nursery and Primary School, Wuro Babba Community Primary School, Professor Jibrilla Aminu Primary School, and Dasin Hausa Primary School. These schools have also been equipped with solar-powered electrical panels to ensure a reliable power supply.
Boya's commitment to education is evident in his efforts to support students with disabilities and those who have dropped out of school. He has provided 100% scholarships to hundreds of students, enabling them to pursue their education without financial burdens. Furthermore, he has awarded scholarships to 3,000 students from universities and colleges, with 30,000 university students and 20,000 college students benefiting from his generosity.
Boya has also distributed teaching and learning materials to primary and post-primary school students across the constituency, ensuring that they have the necessary resources to excel in their studies. To enhance the ICT learning process, he has donated 107 HP laptops to post-primary school students. Additionally, he has sponsored 1,000 students to write JAMB exams free of charge and provided CBT training to support their academic success.
The impact of Boya's efforts is evident in the number of students who have benefited from his initiatives. He has distributed 5,000 school bags to pupils and students across the constituency and provided 25,000 exercise books to primary and post-primary school students. These efforts demonstrate his commitment to supporting education and empowering the next generation of leaders.
Presently, 20 primary and post-primary schools identified by the committee on education set up by Boya are undergoing renovations, furnishings, fencing, and provision of teaching and learning materials. This ongoing effort underscores Boya's dedication to education as his topmost priority. Abubakar Sali, Director of Boya Media Aide, reports that Boya's legacy in education will continue to inspire and empower future generations.
