HON. BARR. BOYAS BREAKS SILENCE, EXPLAINING HIS UNWAVERING ACCESSIBILITY TO CONSTITUENTS
By: Abubakar Sali
Federal Lawmaker Hon. Barr. Aliyu Wakili Boyas has finally addressed the public’s curiosity about his unparalleled accessibility. In a candid statement to his media aide, Abubakar Sali, Boyas emphasized, Leadership demands it. The lawmaker’s openness, he explained, has been the cornerstone of his achievements in office.
If I were not accessible, i could not have accomplished half of what I’ve achieved so far, Boyas declared. He underscored a simple truth, the people who elected him are the reason he holds his position. Why, then, should i deny them access to me? His office, home, and phone are perpetually active, dedicated to meeting constituents and answering calls a routine he embraces wholeheartedly.
Boyas attributes many of his projects to the direct engagement he fosters with the community. Some days, i spend four to five hours just answering and making calls, he shared, and I enjoy it. His availability transcends convenience, it’s a deliberate policy. Whether it’s late-night meetings at his home on Army Barracks Road or early-morning sessions in Abuja, he prioritizes listening.
Some may see it as a burden, but I am comfortable with this, Boyas affirmed. His constituents’ trust drives him to maintain this standard. From resolving personal crises to approving community projects, his door remains open not just to Fufore and Song, but to anyone in need. It’s my policy, he stated firmly. My doors are always open.
Boyas message is clear, his accessibility is non-negotiable. As he continues to serve, he invites criticism and praise alike, confident that his people will judge his efforts. i will keep doing this, he vowed.
Boyas, leadership is not a title it is a commitment to be present, to listen, and to act.
