The book luncheon, convened under the auspices of the Women’s Effect Initiative International, unfolded on the auspicious date of 13 December 2025 at the prestigious Adamawa State Cultural Centre, drawing together an illustrious assemblage of policymakers, scholars, gender‑advocacy leaders, and distinguished members of the literary community. The proceedings were graced by the presence of the pioneer King Weii, Hon. Barr. Aliyu Wakili Boya, whose benevolent contribution of two million naira facilitated the provision of a sumptuous repast, whilst simultaneously underwriting the distribution of newly authored volumes championing women’s empowerment and socio‑economic development.

In addition to the culinary fare, the luncheon featured a series of enlightening panel discussions wherein esteemed authors and activists deliberated upon the transformative potential of literature in catalysing gender equity and youth engagement. The event culminated in a ceremonial book‑signing segment, during which King Weii, in a gesture emblematic of his patronage, inscribed personal dedications to the beneficiaries, namely, university scholars and community leaders, thereby reinforcing the enduring symbiosis between traditional stewardship and contemporary philanthropy.
